Mark Ball graduated from USC School of Law in 1989. While the main focus of his practice is “any form of personal injury”, he also has a special interest in several other areas of law including, defective products and agricultural issues involving defective seed, chemicals, and equipment. During his more than 30 years of practice, he has handled several thousand personal injury and defective product cases involving everything from heavy trucks, buses, and cars to consumer products, representing clients who were injured or suffered damages. Mark has tried many cases to a verdict, with several being more than a million dollars. These cases covered a wide range of facts from the simple to complex and involved a variety of cases that resulted in the client being injured or damaged.

In addition to practicing law, Mark has also been active in community organizations in Hampton and Colleton Counties as well as statewide organizations. He was instrumental in the formation of several of those organizations and has served on several of their Boards. These include, the Hampton County Special Needs and Disabilities Board, Friends of Hospice, Literacy Council, United Way, SC Small Business Chamber of Commerce, and other community initiatives.

Professionally, Mark is a member of the South Carolina Bar and admitted to practice in all South Carolina Courts as well as the United States District Court, 4th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Federal Claims. He is also a member of the SC Association for Justice, having served 13 years on its Board of Governors and as its President in 2006-2007. He is a member of the American Association of Justice and the American Bar Association.

Mark and his wife, Lisa, who is a nurse, have two daughters. His oldest daughter followed her mother into the medical field and is a doctor. The youngest followed her father into law, having graduated from the Charleston School of Law. Mark is an avid hunter and fisherman.
