John “Jay” E. Parker, Jr.

Jay grew up in Hampton and attended the College of Charleston, where he studied Marine Biology and Chemistry. After graduating in 2000, Jay went on to work in a diverse array of jobs, performing data analysis and research in the fields of marine science, botany, neuroscience, and radiochemistry. Jay has also worked in retail management and agriculture and lived in California, Oregon, Washington, and South Carolina.
Jay began his legal career by enrolling at the University of California-Irvine School of Law in 2014 and began practicing law in Hampton in 2019. Jay firmly believes in a client-centered approach to practicing law and relies on his diversity of life and career experiences to help him understand the significant issues his clients face. His practice is primarily focused on defamation, motor vehicle collisions, insurance litigation, premises liability, products liability and appeals. Jay has successfully litigated cases in state and federal court to jury verdicts and has argued cases before the South Carolina Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Jay lives in North Charleston with his wife and children.
