Johnny Parker will soon celebrate his 50th year practicing law. He started with Murdaugh, Eltzroth & Peters in 1971 as a law clerk while in law school. In 1973, he graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law and joined the firm. Johnny remained with the firm under various name changes. Johnny now practices with Parker Law Group, LLP which was named in his honor and in recognition of his 50 years of excellence as an advocate.

During his years of practice, Johnny has primarily handled civil litigation. He has tried hundreds of civil trials to jury verdicts. His areas of practice include defamation, products liability, trucking, insurance bad faith and railroad cases. He has also handled more than fifty appellate cases which resulted in published opinions.

He has been listed as "Best Lawyers in America" for many years. Johnny has also been listed in "Super Lawyers" since it was first published. In 2008 he was selected by "Super Lawyers" as one of the top 25 lawyers in South Carolina. Johnny has an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell.
