Lee Cope named to 2025 medical malpractice lawyers Power List

HAMPTON, S.C.– Lee D. Cope, a partner with Parker Law Group, has been named to the South Carolina Lawyers Weekly’s 2025 Medical Malpractice Lawyers Power List. He is profiled in a special section of the magazine’s July issue.

The Lawyers Weekly Power Lists recognize noteworthy attorneys practicing in various areas of the law.

Lee’s extensive background in litigation has developed into a statewide practice, focusing primarily on nursing home litigation, medical malpractice, defective highways, and defective products.

He also litigates cases on behalf of special-needs children who have been abused and neglected at group homes or other similar facilities.

He practices in Parker Law Group’s Hampton offices. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and a member of the South Carolina Bar House of Delegates.

According to the publication, Power List honorees are selected by looking at a range of criteria, including whether an attorney is considered to be a leader in his or her field, well-versed in relevant case law, statutes and regulations; experienced, with a record of success in cases and/or transactions; someone whom other lawyers respect and make referrals to; and a leader in the community, with a record of bar involvement and leadership.
